Beverly Park Road/SR 525 Intersection Completion

Two years after the upgrade to SR 525 was completed, the County and Washington State Department of Transportation have worked out a plan to fix a design problem at the SR 525 and Beverly Park Road intersection.

By the end of the summer, a new signal pole and longer mast arm will be installed at the NW corner of that intersection (where the 7-Eleven is). That will provide room for another signal head so that both west bound, left-hand turn lanes of Beverly Park Road to south bound SR 525 can be opened (the orange barrels will go away).

Also, the second left-hand turn lane of south bound SR 525 to west bound Beverly Park Road will be opened.  This will be good for traffic flow but will make it harder for some vehicles to complete U-turns since vehicles wanting to make U-turns will have less space to do it in.  To get the extra space needed would require pushing the sidewalk and signal pole back into the Chevron property – something that won’t be happening.

For further information contact City Hall - (425) 263-8000.
